The report family beyond capital gains
Checked against app build 2026-08-26-01-41 on 2026-08-26.
The capital gains summary gets the attention, but the download list is a family, around ten documents in both tiers, each answering a different question.
Which report shows the working behind every number?
The working paper, the one an accountant reaches for first.
Every disposal in full, proceeds, cost, fees, the matching rule that applied, and the citation behind it. It exists so that any figure in any other report can be traced to its origin in one lookup, see reading citations.
Where do staking rewards and other income appear?
In the income report, not in the capital gains figures.
It collects what is not a capital gain, staking rewards and other receipts the engine classed as income at their value on arrival, the figures that belong on different pages of a return than the gains do.
Which report covers losses?
The losses view, showing the year’s losses, what was used against gains, and what carries forward.
Those two figures feed the labelled loss lines in the SA108 helper, which is where they end up on the return.
What is the negligible value claim letter?
A section 24(2) TCGA 1992 template, generated when your data holds a case for one, a token that has become worthless while you still hold it.
It is built from those rows, with the cost figures highlighted for you to confirm before it goes anywhere. Background is in the negligible value post, and the negligible value claims tool tests whether a dead token qualifies before you generate anything.
What is the SA108 helper?
The report that maps the year’s totals onto the return’s boxes, covered box by box in self assessment.
Everything generates on your machine from the same reconciled workspace, so the family always agrees with itself, one computation, many views of it. Downloading them is covered in downloading reports.
